Meet Misty the Calaveras County Animal Services Shelter Pet of the Week

San Andreas, CA…Meet Misty, a German shepherd and likely Husky mix female, estimated to be between 3 and 4 years of age. Misty is very affectionate and enjoys all handling and her bath. This blue and brown-eyed beauty happily romped on her play date with Shadow, a male of similar size though she retreated from a dominant female who challenged her. A quick learner, she has made terrific progress from being a puller to walking nicely on a leash. Huskies are known to have a strong prey drive, so a home without small animals is important along with an escape-free enclosure. Misty may also be housebroken since she keeps her kennel clean.

As with all dogs available for adoption at the Calaveras Animal Shelter, Misty is micro-chipped, has tested negative for heartworm and is up-to-date on her routine vaccinations. Misty will need to be spayed before going home with you.

Come visit Misty, impound no. AO50478, along with other dogs and cats awaiting their forever homes at Calaveras County Animal Services, 901 Jeff Tuttle Drive, San Andreas (in government center by the new jail).
