Mather, CA…Governor Gavin Newsom and Others delivered remarks and took questions on PG&E’s Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) at the State Operations Center in Mather. The shutoffs have impacted hundreds of thousands of Californians due to weather conditions and the increased fire danger. The Governor had tough rhetoric for previous PG&E Management. He stated that they had failed to keep up their infrastructure and this problem goes back decades and does not see the current issues as a “Climate Change” issue as much as just poor management of PG&E.
