Minor Injuries & Diesel Spilled in Early Morning Big Rig Collision Near La Grange Road & Old Don Pedro

La Grange, CA…On Thursday, October 17th, at approximately 0415 hours, 47-year-old Stockton resident, David Bryan Crook was driving a 2002 Peterbilt truck and lowboy trailer northbound on La Grange Road approaching Old Don Pedro Road. Crook allowed the right side tires to travel off the asphalt road edge and drop down a steep embankment. The weight of the truck shifted and pulled the truck and trailer to the right, through a barbed wire fence, and subsequently collided with a large oak tree. The right saddle tank on the truck ruptured from the impact spilling a large amount of diesel fuel on the ground. Driver was wearing a seatbelt and only sustained minor injuries.

Neither drugs or alcohol are suspected to have been a factor in the collision.
