San Andreas, CA…On Tuesday October 15, 2019, Calaveras County Animal Services investigated a report of two mini horses that were killed in an attack by two dogs in the 2600 block of Holmquist Lane in Valley Springs. During our investigation, the officer in charge found out that both dogs and the dog owner fled to Stockton shortly after the incident. Our officer was able to find a Stockton address linked to the dog owner.
The officer notified the Stockton Police Department who went to the address and found both the dog owner and the dogs at the address. The dog owner Raymond Carringer was arrested for felony probation violation and Stockton Animal Services took the dogs into custody. Our department will be picking up the dogs and impounding them, pending a probable filing of a potentially dangerous dog petition.
We would like to thank the Stockton Police Department and Stockton Animal Services for their assistance in this case.
