Mountain Ranch, CA…Born September 27th 1938 in Sonora, California. He was 76 years old. Jim lived in Mountain Ranch, California for the past 25 years. He died on August 15th 2015 in Mountain Ranch, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Jim was retired and was previously a construction contractor and traffic control contractor for 40 years. He was an avid SF Giants and 49er fan.

He is survived by his loving wife Takako and his children, Teresa Cline of Wilton, Sandra Garber of Pittsburg, James Meyers of Murrieta, Julia Santos of Fremont , Jaime Narva and Jeff Sloniker of the Bay Area as well as 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Jim is also survived by his sister Marjorie Garris from Washington State and a brother Frank Sloniker in Lake Tahoe as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will be scheduling a Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
