San Andreas, CA….From the Calaveras Good Morning Calaveras! We have just finished our AM PG&E Briefing and we are starting this morning off on a much better note. The LATEST de-energization time is 4pm today, with a weather All-Clear time of 1am on Wednesday (10-30) We also have an updated outage map, that shows a smaller outage footprint. We’ve tried to orient this map with some arrows to generally indicate a couple communities; they are rudimentary in nature, and are meant to just assist folks with what the map represents. According to the latest map, Valley Springs, San Andreas, Angels Camp and Copperopolis should NOT be de-energized. For complete details see the map provided in this post. With three of our larger communities being restored, access to fuel, food and other supplies should become easier.
Restoration Update: We are approximately 41% restored across the county as of about an hour ago. Restoration will continue today, but unfortunately we are assuming that some folks may not be restored by the 4pm de-energization time frame.
County Government: The County Government Campus does have power, and we are open for business, and will fully resume services tomorrow.
This event is smaller in footprint, and shorter in duration, which provides a little light at the end of the tunnel. We are aware some are still without power, and remain hopeful that an all-clear early Wednesday morning will afford the PG&E a full day to work on restoration before darkness. We further understand the toll these events have had on folks who remain without power, and are dedicated to supporting our communities who remain re-energized. We will continue to provide as much information and support as possible until we are completely restored! Please continue to persevere and look out for one another; we are hopeful that an end to these events is in sight!
Thanks again to all our communities for their continued support and patience.
