Sonora, CA…Beth Martinez, formerly the public service staff officer for the Stanislaus National Forest, was named Deputy Forest Supervisor, Forest Supervisor Jason Kuiken announced. Martinez has more than 30 years’ experience with the U.S. Forest Service, two-thirds of which has been with the Stanislaus NF. The other third included positions on the Gallatin NF in Montana, Wasatch-Cache NF in Utah and Gila NF in New Mexico, as well as a detail as the Region 5 deputy director for Public Services.
“I look forward to continuing to serve the Stanislaus and our surrounding communities in my new role,” Martinez said. “There have been many organizational changes in the Forest Service in recent years, but our commitment to neighboring communities, to building strong relationships and to being good stewards of this beautiful land remains strong.”
Martinez is a long-time resident of Tuolumne County. Her two daughters, both college graduates, were born and raised here.
