Valley Springs, CA…On November 18, 2019, at about 9:30 PM, a Calaveras County patrol deputy recognized David Adams (38 years old, San Andreas), who was driving a vehicle with expired registration. The deputy was familiar with David Adams from prior contacts and was also aware that several arrest warrants existed for David Adams.
The deputy initiated a vehicle enforcement stop near Burger King, Valley Springs. David Adams failed to yield to the marked patrol unit and accelerated away from the deputy at speeds over 80 MPH. During the pursuit, David Adams’ drove over curbs, veered off the roadway, and drove in the opposing lane for several hundred feet. David Adams drove to the end of McCauley Road where Deputies were able to block his vehicle and place him under arrest. Upon arrest, David Adams was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine.
Deputies also contacted the passenger of the vehicle who was identified as Nichole Bonneau (40 years old, Mokelumne Hill). Nichole Bonneau was discovered to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and prescription pills without a prescription. Nichole Bonneau was issued a citation for misdemeanor charges and released.
David Adams was booked into the Calaveras County Jail the following charges:
2800.2 CVC Evading a peace officer – Felony,11377 (a) H&S Possession of controlled substance- Misdemeanor, 11364 (a) H&S Possession of drug paraphernalia – Misdemeanor, (3) Warrants-Misdemeanor, Total Bail $190,000
