ABOVE 1500 FEET…

* WHAT…Heavy snow occurring. Travel will be very difficult to
impossible. Tree branches could fall as well. Additional snow
accumulations of 2 to 6 inches, with 8 to 18 inches above 3000
feet, are expected.

* WHERE…Northeast Foothills/Sacramento Valley, Motherlode,
Western Plumas County/Lassen Park and West Slope Northern Sierra
Nevada. Includes Interstate 80 over Donner Pass, Highway 50 over
Echo Summit, and Highway 88 over Carson Pass.

* WHEN…Until 7 PM Thursday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Be prepared for significant reductions in
visibility at times. Major travel delays likely and road
closures possible. Downed trees and power outages also possible.
