Sonora, CA…On November 29th at approximately 8:15pm a 66-year-old man from Spokane, Washington, was driving alone in his 2019 Dodge Ram truck northbound on State Route 49, near Springfield Road at an unknown rate of speed. For unknown reasons, he allowed his vehicle to leave the roadway and collided into a guardrail. After the collision with the guardrail, the vehicle traveled back across State Route 49, where it eventually overturned on the west shoulder.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to Doctors Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injury. The driver’s identity is being withheld pending notification. This collision is still under investigation and it is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs played a factor in this collision.
