San Andreas, CA…On December 20, 2019, at about 10:45 AM the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office received a report from Calaveras High School staff regarding an alleged student who was possibly armed with a firearm. School Administrators quickly placed the school on lockdown and began checking for threats. The juvenile in question was removed from their class and immediately placed in the school office.

Deputies arrived, conducted a security sweep of the campus and began an investigation. Deputies identified a possible student of interest, no weapons were found. The school was released from lockdown and returned to its normal schedule. The investigation is ongoing.
