Angels Camp, CA…The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is conducting one-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound State Route 4 (SR-4) at the West Bridge over Cherokee Creek (near Pool Station Road) for bridge work. The bridge is five miles west of the SR-4/SR-49 junction in Altaville. A vehicle collided with the bridge railing on Thursday, December 19, and the structure will remain under one-way traffic control while repairs are performed.

Motorists should expect delays of up to 30 minutes and a temporary traffic signal has been put in place to coordinate the one lane of traffic over the bridge. With increased travel due to the weekend and the upcoming holidays, travelers are strongly advised to seek alternate routes or expect a lengthy delay.
