Pioneer, CA…On Wednesday January 1, 2020 at around 10:47 PM, the Amador County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a reporting party. The caller reported a 16 year old female arrived home and discovered her mother and step-father deceased.

Amador County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 28291 Rolling Hills Road in Pioneer. Upon making entry into the residence, deputies located a deceased male and female from apparent gunshot wounds. Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded and took over the investigation.

There are no outstanding suspects at this time and a firearm was recovered from the residence. Positive identification on the victim and suspect are pending until a forensic autopsy can be performed.
