Angels Camp Resident Arrested for Multiple Burglaries

Angels Camp, CA…On January 18, 2020 Bret Harte High School contacted the Angels Camp Police Department to report that someone had burglarized several student lockers. An Angels Camp Police Department officer reviewed the school’s surveillance video and saw a female suspect had jumped the school’s fence the night before and stole numerous items from student lockers.

The female suspect was later identified by the Angels Camp Police Department as 21 year old, Angels Camp resident, Brooke Hines.

The Angels Camp Police Department served a search warrant on February 6, 2020 at Hines’ residence located in the 300 block of South Main Street in Angels Camp. While recovering the items stolen from Bret Harte High School, officers located items that had been reported stolen from victims in other cases not related to the Bret Harte High School burglaries. Victims are being notified of the recovery of their property.

Hines was arrested and booked in to the Calaveras County Jail on the following charges:

460(b) PC- Burglary
496(a) PC- Possession of Stolen Property
11377(a) HS – Possession of a Controlled Substance
