Malibu,, CA…Actor Robert Conrad who was a fixture in the Bear Valley Community & in our area for many years passed away yesterday from heart failure at 84. In addition to his hit TV Series, Wild Wild West, Black Sheep Squadron & others, He also tried to build TV Series, High Mountain Rangers & High Sierra Rangers based partly on his time in our area including time spent volunteering with Bear Valley Search & Rescue..
His time in our area largely ended after a 2003 DUI collision on Hwy 4 that injured Conrad and led to partial permanent disability. The collision also caused serious injuries to the party in the other vehicle. Conrad plead no-contest to the criminal charges and served several months of house arrest and years on probation.
