Sonora, CA…39-year-old Teresa M. Abreo of Columbia was arrested Saturday night for multiple charges, which included being a felon in possession of a firearm. Just after 9:00 pm on Saturday, Officer Brickley conducted a traffic stop on a silver Kia Forte for registration violations. The driver, Teresa Abreo, was determined to be on Tuolumne County probation, and during a search of the vehicle, the officer located a loaded .22 caliber Derringer pistol. Abreo had previous felony convictions that prohibited her from possessing firearms in California.

Abreo was subsequently arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and was transported to Tuolumne County Jail for booking. Other charges against Abreo include having a loaded firearm in a public place and displaying false evidence of registration.
