Jackson, CA…From the Amador Sheriff’s Office…”We need your help! During the early morning hours of February 29, 2020, deputies responded to a residence in Plymouth regarding a man armed with a handgun and bat. The victim called 911 and stated her former boyfriend had entered her home and attacked she and a friend with a bat.

When deputies arrived, they discovered the male victim had sustained a critical head injury and was immediately transported by ambulance for medical treatment. The female was also treated for injuries and released on scene. Detectives and a Crime Scene Investigator were called out and processed the scene.

The suspect, 34 year old David Axel Carlson, of River Pines fled the scene prior to the deputies arrival. Carlson may be driving a 2004 Grey lifted Dodge 2500 pickup. He is known to frequent areas of El Dorado and Amador Counties. Carlson is considered armed and dangerous. If seen, please call 911.
