Murphys, CA…As of March 13 the Murphys Senior Center will be closed until April 6th. All classes, groups and Tuesday lunch are cancelled. For updated information check murphyscenter.com

It took a lot of hard work and many sacrifices for MURPHYS to create it’s own Senior Center. Through the work of dozens of community members, a supportive Faith Lutheran Church, a startup grant from the Wheatridge Foundation and one driven agent of change, Pastor Doug Merritt, MSC opened it’s doors June 27, 2009. Since then the Center has grown to offer 10 different groups, a wonderfully supportive staff and still the Best Lunch in the West!

The Murphys Senior Center (MSC) has become the favorite gathering place for many retirees, with programs geared to older adults MSC offers lunch, exercise activities, educational events, and games such as pinochle. Please see our monthly calendar for an updated schedule.
