San Andreas, CA…March 20, 2020 – MTMC recognizes that now more than ever we need more Physicians in our Communities. During this ever challenging time in our world; MTMC is sharing the positive announcement today that Board Certified Internist Dr. Pravina Somani has joined the Mark Twain Medical Center team, and is now seeing patients at the new James Dalton Medical Office in Angels Camp.
MTMC President and CEO Doug Archer notes, “We are delighted to welcome Dr. Somani to our team. She brings over 30 years of experience in clinical medicine, Preventive Care and Diabetes Management to our new facility in Angels Camp.”
Dr. John Krpan, the Medical Director for Primary Care at MTMC Clinics adds, “Dr. Somani’s wide range of expertise in primary care specialties expands health care options for local residents. Our new James Dalton Medical Office provides a state-of-the-art setting for this seasoned professional.”
Dr. Somani resides in Murphys with her husband and her Australian shepherd dog, and has joined the MTMC team following 17 successful years in private practice in Simi Valley, CA. Dr. Somani is an avid gardener and when not working you can find her gardening.
She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and completed her Residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Dr. Somani was certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1988.
Archer explains, “The addition of Dr. Somani really illustrates our focus on broadening health care services in Calaveras County. The James Dalton Medical Office is expected to become a hub for primary care services, and the positive reaction from community members in these first few weeks of operation has been overwhelming.”
