San Andreas, CA…Meet Elliot, a super sweet, smoky-black colored adult with a plume-like tail. His medium length coat is amazing, sporting a smoke ruff with tufts of white throughout. Though we’re not quite sure of his age, Elliot’s teeth indicate he’s likely between 5 and 7 years old. A handsome boy with a low-key, reserved personality, Elliot keeps his claws in at all times. He is so appreciative when does receive attention, adoring soft petting and displaying great potential as a lap cat. He also gets along well with other felines but shows no real interest in interacting. We feel Elliot would do best in a calm, quiet household– one with a person or people like himself who would shower him with gentle love and affection.
As with all cats available for adoption, Elliot is up-to-date on his routine vaccinations and has been micro-chipped. Since he is already neutered, he is able to go home with you today!
Come visit Elliot, impound no. Please refer to Elliot’s impound number above when making inquiries.
Currently, the Calaveras shelter remains open for visitors wishing to adopt. We are, however, limiting viewing to one person at a time in order to help prevent COVID-19 infection among people. Please understand there may be a wait for you to view the shelter animals. Many still await their forever homes, especially now during this outbreak. Adoptable animals may also be viewed on the web at http://animal.calaverasgov.us/Adoptions and on the Calaveras County Animal Services Facebook page.
Animal Services now has a Fee Flexibility Program!
When the dog or cat population at the shelter is at 80% or above capacity, the total adoption fee will be 50% off––reduced to $40 for dogs and $30 for cats. The adoption fee for cats who arrive at the shelter already altered will be $10. With the 55-5-5 Program, any time an adopter is 55 or older and adopts any pet over 5 years old, the adoption fee is $5.
