Murphys, CA…On April 14, 2020, at approximately 1835 hours, Sky Harris was driving his 2005 Subaru Forester eastbound on SR-4, approaching Northwood Drive. Carlos Vigil was driving his 2006 Chrysler Town and Country westbound on SR-4, approaching Northwood Drive, traveling approximately 55 mph, approaching the Subaru. Mr. Harris made a left turn, towards Northwood Drive, directly into the path of Mr. Vigil. Mr. Vigil swerved to the right in an attempt to avoid a collision with the Subaru. The left front of the Chrysler collided with the right front of the Subaru causing injuries to the four juvenile occupants of the Chrysler.

Alcohol and or drugs are suspected to be a factor in this collision and Mr. Harris was subsequently arrested for DUI causing injuries, felony, and was booked into the Calaveras County Jail.

The collision is still under investigation.
