Columbia, CA…On April 17, 2020 at approximately 9:35pm, 46-year-old Anna Marie Veredas of Sonora was driving her 2017 Honda Civic southbound on Parrotts Ferry Road, just north of Porcina Way. At that same time, 63-year-old Christopher Brian Mansfield of Murphys and his passenger 64-year-old Judith Ellen Lawrence of Murphys were traveling in a 2003 Ford Explorer northbound on Parrotts Ferry Road, just north of Porcina Way. Ms. Veredas allowed her vehicle to travel to the left over the double yellow lines into the northbound lane directly in front of Mr. Mansfield’s vehicle. As a result, both vehicle’s collided head on.

Both Ms. Lawrence and Ms. Veredas suffered minor to moderate injuries and were transported to Adventist Health Sonora for treatment. Mr. Mansfield suffered major injuries and was transported to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto for treatment. During the investigation it was determined that Ms. Veredas was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and placed under arrest for felony DUI.
