Marijuana Cultivation Eradication in Glencoe

San Andreas, CA…On May 7, 2020, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Unit served a search warrant for illegal marijuana cultivation at a residence in the 500 block of Three Cent Flat Rd, in Glencoe. Deputies located and seized 1,285 growing marijuana plants and 20 grams of processed marijuana. The grow operation consisted of several greenhouse type structures and a garage which had been converted into a growing room. Calaveras County Code Enforcement was called out to the scene and issued a notice of violation for hazardous electrical, junk, debris and unpermitted additions.

Two persons were located at the scene and issued citations. Kim Thi Huynh (age 73) and John Allen King (age 49) were charged with 11358 HS Illegal Marijuana Cultivation, 11359 HS Possession of Marijuana for Sale, 11366.5 HS Rent or Lease a Drug House and 182 PC Conspiracy to Commit Crime. Evidence was collected at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

On May 12, 2020, an unrelated search warrant was served in the 400 block of Blossom Lane in Railroad Flat. Deputies located and seized 2,405 growing marijuana plants and 5 ounces of processed marijuana. Two suspects fled the scene on foot upon the arrival of law enforcement. Evidence was collected leading to the identity of the two suspects. The case will be forwarded to the Calaveras District Attorney for review and charging.

On May 14, 2020, an unrelated search warrant was served in the 6000 block of Fricot City Rd in San Andreas. Deputies located and seized 159 growing marijuana plants. No subjects were located at the scene, however, evidence was collected at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
