On July 1, 2020 at about 7:10AM the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a call of a disturbance in the 9000 block of Scenic Valley Rd, Jenny Lind. The victim reported he was arguing with a person who was causing excessive dust by driving at an accelerated speed passed his residence. During the argument, a neighbor, Roger Wayne Anderson (60 Years old, Jenny Lind) reportedly exited his trailer and fired 4 shots from a hand gun killing the victim’s dog due to it barking excessively.

Anderson then pointed the handgun at the victim and made threats to kill him. After a short exchange of words, Anderson fled the area in an older blue Ford Expedition prior to the deputy’s arrival. Deputies responded and initiated an investigation. They collected evidence, spoke to witnesses and coordinated with Calaveras County Animal Services.
