Angels Camp, Ca…Yesterday morning Old Town Angels Camp was a happy and thankful fire line. No hoses, dozers, axes or shovels. just kids and adults from all over the county waving, cheering and holding signs saying THANK YOU to the firefighters. Many of the Butte Fire Firefighters are using Frogtown as a Basecamp and roll through Angels Camp on their way to or from assignments on the fire line.

One Response to "The Community Says Thank You To The Firefighters"

My name is Dave Kahan, and I’m a tree faller from Humboldt county. I’ve been working on fires since 1981. I’ve seen thousands of thank you signs lining streets and roads but never accompanied by the upwelling of humanity in the flesh that I experienced the other day. I am deeply touched by this over the top outpouring of support and appreciation. I feel both humbled and proud. Thank you so much for the experience of a lifetime.
