The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office was asked to attend a Neighborhood Watch Meeting on August 30th, 2020, outside in the driveway of a residence in Blue Lake Springs. Topics included how to organize a neighborhood watch group, security cameras, home alarms, exterior lighting, securing yard equipment, what to do in a fire evacuation, ensuring to lock doors and windows, not opening the door for someone you don’t know, the use of automatic timers to turn on the lights when you and your family aren’t home, and other basic home security measures.
