Columbia, CA…This year, the Columbia Air Attack Base will receive a new helicopter, the Firehawk. This modern helicopter will be an important fire-fighting resource. To ensure the safety of the public and our crews, we will be conducting Pilot training from October 11th through October 17th, and Fire Crew training November 2nd through November 13th. This training will consist of multiple flights in and around the Columbia Airport and surrounding communities of Jamestown, Sonora and New Melones Reservoir.
