Sonora, CA…Adventist Health Sonora plans to vaccinate another 800 Tuolumne County residents on Saturday, February 6. Currently appointments are being scheduled for those age 75 and older, with plans to drop the age requirement to 65 and older on Friday morning.

Any Tuolumne County resident who is 75 or older who would like to receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine is advised to make their appointment by visiting www.AdventistHealthSonora.org/COVIDvaccine before the remaining appointments are opened to the next age group at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, February 5.

Adventist Health Sonora’s first two vaccination clinics filled quickly. Because this third clinic is taking more time to fill, hospital officials are concluding that the majority of those 75 and older who wish to receive the vaccine have already scheduled or received their immunization. As of Thursday afternoon, approximately 450 individuals age 75 and over have made an appointment.

The remaining appointments for those age 65 and older are expected to fill very quickly. A limited waiting list for the February 6 clinic will also be available. If there are any vaccines left at the end of the clinic day, staff will call individuals on the waitlist, in the order that form submissions were received. If called, those on the waitlist will need to be available between 2 and 5 p.m. on Feb. 6 to come to the clinic for their shot. Being on the waitlist does not guarantee a phone call or future vaccination appointment. There will be no walk-in appointments available.

Any Tuolumne County resident who is 65 or older who would like to receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine is advised to visit www.AdventistHealthSonora.org/COVIDvaccine at 9:30 a.m. on Friday February 5 to schedule an appointment for the February 6 clinic.
