Valley Springs, CA…A juvenile was driving his Chevrolet eastbound on Double Springs Road, west of SR-26, entering a right hand curve. A motorcyclist was riding his Kawasaki westbound on Double Springs Road, west of SR-26, entering the same curve. Due to the juvenile’s speed, they allowed the Chevrolet to cross over the solid double yellow lines entering the eastbound lane directly in the path of the Kawasaki. This resulted in a head-on collision with between the Chevrolet and the motorcycle. The motorcycle rider was ejected during the collision. Due to the collision, the motorcycle rider was pronounced deceased on scene.
The juvenile was transported to Mark Twain Medical Center.
Drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this collision.

That 17 year old was just doing what all young kids do when they first get their license. I dont think anyone could say they didn’t go over the speed limit when they were young. And some still do! I’m very sorry for both young men. Prayers for both families
I can honestly say I never drove over the speed limit when I was young and knew driving was a huge responsibility most kids these days don’t get that, as for as that matter goes most adults don’t slow down either, I live on a main roadway where I see it everyday, this is a horrible incident that will affect so many, prayers to all and especially for the families.
