Sonora, CA…On March 13, 2021 at approximately 5:00pm, a 40-year-old man from Modesto was riding his 2006 Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on Bonds Flat Road, east of Blue Oaks Road at an unknown rate of speed. As the rider negotiated a left curve in the roadway, he allowed his motorcycle to travel onto the south shoulder where both the rider and the motorcycle stuck a guardrail. After the impact, the motorcycle landed within the eastbound lane of Bonds Flat Road and the rider came to rest on a private roadway just south of Bonds Flat Road. A Fish and Wildlife Warden was traveling through the area of the crash and began to provide medical aid to the rider.
Unfortunately, the rider succumbed to his injuries at the scene. It was determined he was wearing a motorcycle helmet at the time of the crash and alcohol may have been a factor. The identity of the rider is being held pending family notification.
May this poor man be Resting in God’s Eternal Paradise.
