San Andreas Ca A “Drop the Drugs” event is being presented through funding from the Anti-Drug Abuse Justice Assistance Grant. The service is free and anonymous; no questions asked.
Calaveras County community members can prevent prescription and other drug misuse and abuse by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous, expired, unused, and unwanted drug this coming Tuesday:
December 15th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Historically the Sheriff’s Office usually offers these events on weekends, so we wanted to give our community members one last opportunity in 2015 during the weekday after normal work hours. The three locations are:
1. Calaveras Consolidated Fire Department
129 E. Hwy 12, Valley Springs
2. Calaveras County Office of Education
185 S Main Street, Angels Camp
3. Murphys Fire Department
37 Jones Street, Murphys
The Sheriff’s Office also continues to have a secure box located in our lobby where drugs can be dropped off during normal business hours, located at:
Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office
1045 Jeff Tuttle Drive, San Andreas, CA
We are also very excited with the recent addition of a secure pill box located at the Angels Camp Police Department where drugs can be dropped off as well during normal business hours, located at:
Angels Camp Police Department
200 Monte Verda Street, Angels Camp, CA
For any questions or further information about our Drop the Drugs event, please contact Deputy Shackelford at the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office (209) 754-6500.
