San Andreas, CA… Mr. Michael Phillip Littlefield. April 12, 1961 ~ December 16, 2022, 61 Years Old. Michael Phillip Littlefield, passed away at his home in San Andreas, CA, December 16, 2022, at the age of 61. His passing followed a short illness and was unexpected for his family and friends.
Michael was born in Warren, Pennsylvania on April 12, 1961. He was the third of five children of Richard and Donna Littlefield. As a child, Michael moved with his family several times as his father was in the US Air Force. As a teenager in Destin, FL in the early 1970s, Michael used his artistic skills to sell airbrushed t-shirts at the local tourist shops. He also loved working as a deckhand on a fishing boat in the Gulf before moving with his family to California. He would continue his artwork doing free hand drawings as well as pen and ink pictures of landscapes or people he knew. Aside from his art, Michael worked as a manager at Carls Jr near his family home in San Jose for many years, before picking up a job at the local amusement park, riding his bike the eight miles to and from.
Michael lived in Arnold with his sister Joni, then in Angels Camp and eventually San Andreas. His most recent job was at Bear Valley as a ski lift operator and at the Shell gas station in Murphys. He enjoyed participating in the Mark Twain Festival in Angels Camp each fall.
Michael was a big kid who loved to joke around and who opted to ride a bike instead of driving a car. He was tender hearted and would give the shirt off his back if he felt you needed it.
Michael is preceded in death by his father Richard Littlefield (1973), his mother Donna Littlefield (1996), stepfather Thomas Littlefield (1996) and nephew Joseph Littlefield (1996). He is survived by his siblings Richard Littlefield (Nevada), James (Linda) Littlefield (Pleasanton), Susan (Kelly) Keenan (San Jose) and Joni Littlefield (Copperopolis) and sister-in-law Pam Littlefield (Florida). Nieces and nephews Richard Littlefield, Amber Littlefield, Nicole Merritt, Candace Hawkins, Dajon Harris, Mari Nicholson. He has many great nieces and nephews that loved to hang out with their fun uncle Mike. His best friend George Lukach was there for Michael until the end, providing transportation, a place to live and a friendship that lasted over 40 years. George passed away suddenly December 24, 2022, two friends together for eternity.
