San Andreas, CA… Robert H. Jones 1931 ~ 2023. Robert H. Jones. September 23, 1931 ~ February 25, 2023. 91 Years Old. Robert Hughes Jones, a beloved father, husband, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2023, at the age of 91, due to complications from pneumonia. Bob was born on September 23, 1931, in Dayton, Ohio but moved to Tucson, Arizona as a teenager. He attended Amphitheater High School in Tucson and later pursued his passion for mechanical engineering, earning his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona in June 1960.

Before attending college, Bob served his country with distinction in the U.S Navy and was honorably discharged in 1955. He then went on to have a successful career as a mechanical engineer, working in various California aerospace companies.

Bob’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Barbara, and a loving father to his five sons: Randy, Barry, Kelly, Jeffry, and Wayne. Bob coached his sons in Little League baseball and was involved with them in Boy Scouts, instilling in them a strong work ethic, and the values of integrity and respect.

In his free time, Bob enjoyed building his own country home, traveling, and spending time with his family. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a kind and gentle soul, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Bob’s legacy will live on through the memories and love he shared with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on March 4, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at the San Andreas Memorial Chapel in San Andreas, California. In lieu of flowers, Bob requested that donations be made to the Hospice of Amador in Bob’s honor.
