Angels Camp, CA….We request the immediate removal of Commissioner Wooster from his position following his offensive racial remarks made to the public at the Planning Commission meeting on March 3rd. Although we were not present when the statements were made, as residents of this community we are affected by this atmosphere of racism and subsequent condoning of this behavior by the Board of Supervisors.

We feel nothing would have been shared with the community about this had the Latino Legislative Caucus not sought removal of Mr. Wooster. Putting aside the moral wrong that was done, as an elected government official, his comments are legally and ethically questionable. It is clear he holds a very different respect for county Latino residents and this logically equates with racial bias and discrimination. Regards Josh and Desiree Fleck
