Arnold, CA…Our one & only in-haus distilled RYE WHISKEY, Einhorn, is now available! ‘Einhorn’ means unicorn in German, and like its namesake this bottle will prove elusive as it’s our first and only planned Hinterhaus-distilled rye.
Our Head Distiller/Proprietor Nate Randall chose a unique mash bill of 51% rye and 49% malted barley for this whiskey, bringing grain and cereal notes to the classic baking spices of rye. Cinnamon, clove and toasted vanilla greet the palate while peppercorn, hazelnut and a morning pastry (think cinnamon bun) linger.
After distillation, we aged it for 2+ years in new charred American Oak barrels at our 4k ft perch in the Sierra. If you’re a fan of rye or single malt whiskey, Einhorn marries the two seamlessly.
We bottled this spirit in 375ml to spread the love. Sold exclusively at the distillery and not available for shipping due to extremely limited quantities. *Limit 2 bottles per patron while supplies last.
