$50,000 Grant Given For Butte Fire Rebuilding Efforts…Contractors & Funds Needed For 80 Homes

San Andreas, CA…A $50,000 grant from the California Endowment was given to Calaveras Recovers recently through the Amador Community Foundation, which is the fiscal sponsor of the local group dedicated to recovery from the Butte Fire. In April, concrete foundations were poured for the first two homes being built by Calaveras Recovers for the uninsured survivors of last year’s Butte Fire. Licensed general building contractors and specialty contractors such as plumbing, electrical, sheet rock, roofing and painting contractors are encouraged to join up with Calaveras Recovers, by attending a meeting such as next Monday, May 2, 2016 at the LDS Church in San Andreas.
