Security System Leads to Arrest for Residential Burglary

West Point, CA…On June 6, 2024, at about 7:20 AM, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a 911 call from a homeowner reporting a burglary in progress at their residence. The caller stated they were away from their residence and received a notification from a self-installed home security system. The victim logged onto the security surveillance system and observed two suspects burglarizing her residence.

Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Skoal Flat Rd., West Point; however, the suspects left prior to their arrival. Deputies initiated an investigation and collected evidence.
