Washington, DC…Pete Hegseth will try to convince members of the Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday that he should be the next secretary of defense, following weeks of meetings with lawmakers who peppered him with questions about his character and views on a range of military issues.
The Senate confirmation hearing for Pete Hegseth is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 9:30 a.m. EST.

As a combat veteran, this argument about the military can go on and on, but the bottom line, after my service, I would never want my daughter, my wife, or any decent female to serve in combat!
#1. During my year in Viet Nam, a female would have been raped daily by certain GI’s. There were no rules out there, you could get loaded openly, you could kill without rules, you could do practically anything you wanted to do w/o rules. My thinking isn’t defined by whether I think they, ( women) could handle the rigors of killing, but common sense!
My daughters were studs, atheletes, but when everyone is armed, it doesn’t matter how tough you are!
I’ve met quite a few female veterans, there are a few who have experienced just what I said. Sexual exploitation.
Some men are pigs, no matter what the situation is! I saw the worst in VN, I can’t speak to Iraq and Afghanistan vets.
I would never want ladies to experience the horrors of combat, that’s my opinion!
