High Wind Closures for Solid Waste Facilities

San Andreas, CA…Integrated Waste Management follows the recommendations and guidelines placed by the National Weather Service. If the National Weather Service issues a wind forecast that is categorized as a High Wind Warning, Integrated Waste Management may need to temporarily close Rock Creek Landfill and the Transfer Stations to ensure the safety of staff, and the public. Rock Creek Landfill is equipped with wind monitoring devices to ensure accuracy and will be the location that records the wind speed and makes closure recommendations.

The National Weather Service releases a High Wind Warning if winds are expected to reach 40 to 50 mph.
