Board of Education Unanimously Appoints Jared Hungerford Interim Superintendent of Schools

Angels Camp, CA…On March 24, the Calaveras County Board of Education unanimously voted to appoint Associate Superintendent Jared Hungerford as the interim Calaveras County Superintendent of Schools, effective July 1, 2025.

Current Superintendent Karen Vail, who recently announced her retirement after 26 years of service to Calaveras County students, recommended Hungerford for the role to ensure continuity in daily operations and to preserve the organization’s culture.

Hungerford brings 21 years of experience in education to his new leadership position. “I am humbled and honored to serve as the Calaveras County Superintendent of Schools,” said Hungerford. “I hope to serve for many years in order to provide consistent, collaborative and purpose-driven leadership to improve student outcomes for all Calaveras County children and adult learners.”

Hungerford has communicated that he fully intends to run for this elected position in 2026.

The best thing about this Hegseth blunder is that it was disclosed on a Monday, allowing it to fester all week.
Trump on the other hand does all of his dirty work on Friday evenings around 9 pm via email, hoping nobody will notice. Wow, how brilliant Don………..

And we have two full days now before the weekend hits. A lot can happen. Fingers crossed.

Trump is doing a hell of a job!!?? No he has done a awful job and things will only get worse. He was incompetent the first time time around ( anyone remember the suggestion of inject bleach) it was a great look for the leader of the free world in the middle of a global pandemic. Now his cabinet is riddled with the most incompetent bunch of clowns which we are beginning to see so early in his second term. Groceries and increasing in price again. Good luck being able to buy a new car the prices were out of control in the first place. How are stocks doing today? How about affordable housing?? All of which Trump said he would fix on day one. That to is just another lie. He will go down as THE WORST PRESIDENT in HISTORY!

We do have the The Gulf of America though. Which is nice !

DOGE Plans to Rebuild SSA Codebase In Months, Risking Benefits and System Collapse
Social Security systems contain tens of millions of lines of code written in COBOL, an archaic programming language. Safely rewriting that code would take years—DOGE wants it done in months.

The so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is starting to put together a team to migrate the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) computer systems entirely off one of its oldest programming languages in a matter of months, potentially putting the integrity of the system—and the benefits on which tens of millions of Americans rely—at risk.

Is Jasmine Crockett visiting Calaveras County? I was traveling on Highway 4 and I think I seen one of her fake eyelashes laying on the side of the road but then realized it could of been a shredded logging truck tire.
