Annual Multi-Agency Active Shooter Scenario-Based Training

San Andreas, CA…On March 28, 2025, more than 90 first responders from Calaveras County engaged in active shooter training at the Mountain Oaks School in San Andreas, CA. This training emphasized the collaboration between law enforcement, fire services, and other first responders in accessing and treating victims during a hostile incident, focusing on delivering prompt medical care to enhance survivability. Throughout the day, participants refined their communication skills, gained a comprehensive understanding of their roles and responsibilities, and strengthened their ability to operate as a cohesive unit under stressful conditions.
This is an annual training event held in various locations throughout the county to ensure all areas are prepared. We would like to thank the allied agencies that participated and the volunteer role players for their efforts in supporting the training.
