Lake Alpine, CA…Calaveras County Caltrans began pass clearing operations on SR-4 / #EbettsPass as of 9AM on 4/7/25. Caltrans Camp Connell Crews pushed through the gates yesterday to begin clearing the highway just east of Lake Alpine. The crews will be working 10hr shifts / 7 days a week to safely re-open the roadway today motorists later this spring.
