San Andreas, CA…Meet Reggie (A058781), a male Catahoula / Cattle Dog mix, 1 year old and 48 pounds. Reggie is a handsome, athletic pup with a sweet and trusting nature. He arrived at the shelter as a stray, unsure of his surroundings. Thanks to the patient care of staff and volunteers, he quickly learned to trust and now bonds easily with the people he meets.
With his striking brindle coat, expressive eyes, and perky ears, Reggie turns heads—but it’s his gentle spirit and playful personality that really win hearts. He has excellent leash manners, keeps a clean kennel (he may be housebroken!), and absolutely loves playing fetch.
Reggie gets along well with other dogs and enjoyed a recent playdate at the shelter. Due to his herding breed background, he may become mouthy when excited, so a home with older children is recommended.
A shelter volunteer recently shared, “Reggie is my new favorite. He is about as perfect as they come. So gentle on the leash. He will make a lucky person or family so happy. ”
