Arnold, CA…Not so many years ago this was the primary fuel processing facility for cooking your meals, baking your bread, washing your clothes & staying warm in winter. It also served as a fuels reduction tool in forested regions.
Not only that if you kept up the pace it doubled as cardio. All of the “improvements” of modern life are wonderful but according to many studies our peak happiness as a society peaked 68 years ago.
Now we have much easier physical lives yet we are less happy and our life expectancy is actually going down.
Maybe all that old-fashioned stuff was better. Harder? Undoubtedly! Better for us and better even for the planet? Probably!

So Sunday nite in a Washington D.C. eatary someone stole Christy Noem’s purse. It included cash, cards, a phone, and her “makeup” bag. Judging by the amount of pancake makeup she trowels on her ruddy face, that musta’ been one big fukin bag!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Just what I always wanted to do is shit in a garbage can!
“our peak happiness as a society peaked 68 years ago.”
Know why?
WE had unions, better salaries, wages, living standards.
Now with Reaganomics , and sending our jobs to China.
The trade deals traded away our security, sovereignty .
Thanks to a Republican justice Roberts, bribery of our Congress is now legal.
The mob style regime we have now all came from the bush V Gore SCOTUS coup, when the counting of votes was stopped, and bush crowned president, it all went down hill after that.
Now our Democracy, justice system is slipping away because of the Republicans allegiance to Putin, the Russian style oligarchy.
The Free Press asked “seven of the sharpest legal minds in the country from across the political spectrum” to weigh in on the start of the second Trump administration, and whether it is acting lawlessly.
And all seven — several of whom come from conservative backgrounds — expressed serious concerns.
“Evidently for Donald Trump, law is nothing but politics. So it’s not surprising that he would apply his tactics for political battles in the legal realm: Always be on the attack. Never admit error. Stoke grievances. Proclaim false victories. Posit conspiracies. Condemn betrayal. Decry tyranny. Own the libs. Redefine reality. Sow chaos. Improvise on the run. And so on.”
“We need to recognize—and name—the form of government we are living in right now. Its closest analogue is the Mafia,” asserted Lessig.
“The consensus is striking—and perhaps surprising, given the ideological diversity of these contributors,” concluded The Free Press’s editors. “All agreed that the president’s legal tactics reflect a dangerous willingness to ignore statutory and constitutional constraints—and that he must be reined in quickly.”
I can’t wait to be a father and have my son nuts cut off.
