Murphys, CA – The beloved community fundraiser Chicken in a Barrel is back on Saturday, June 7 from 12–5 PM at Murphys Community Park —and it’s shaping up to be our biggest event yet! All proceeds support the students of Albert Michelson Elementary School , and the entire community is invited to come out, enjoy a delicious meal, and have a blast while supporting local students.
Meal tickets are on sale now online and in person at the Murphys Pourhouse —and they’re going fast! This year, we’re thrilled to offer our classic barrel-roasted chicken meals AND, for the first time ever, Lockeford Sausage meals . These mouthwatering meals are a must-try, and all proceeds benefit vital school programs.
The fun kicks off early with our online auction , going live Friday, May 23 and closing Friday, June 6 . The auction is packed with incredible, locally donated items from generous businesses throughout the community. Don’t miss your chance to score some amazing finds while supporting our school!
The event itself will be full of family-friendly fun, including:

” Oh look, there are three transgender atheletes in the NCAA sports world. Out of like 150,000. Lets make that a national issue while overlooking things like Hegseth’s felonious actions, the tanking of the economy by a madman, and the converting the White House to some middle east gold encrusted palace”. And speaking of Trump. This morning Trump is back pedaling faster than Michael Jackson doing the moonwalk at a grammy event. Now the tariffs will be coming down.
Trump is now doing the classic bully movement when people stand up to him. His blowhardness is now saying him and China’s leaders will “be nice”. Where is all the bluster Mr. blowhard in chief? Your’e threats are hollow. Like Pete Hegeths cranium. He would have been run out of Washington D.C. last week in ANY other administration, Republican or Democrat. Dude is clearly not qualified to be Sec of Def.(duh). But Trumps main thing is NEVER admitting a mistake. His father didn’t when he realized what a slimeball he created in Donald, Donald won’t with Hegeth, just like he won’t admit he has fathered two male losers in his sons, Don Jr. and Eric the inbred.
Bottom line? Trump is the classic bully. All bluster, no results. No need to revisit all of the bad business failures he has suffered. The bankruptcies, the divorces, the sexual abuse convictions, the marriages he has always ruined with his cheating ways, his golf cheating, the list goes on and on.
Only problem is those problems that used to effect ONLY him and his family, are now effecting our country, our citizens, you and me. Republican AND Democrat. But yet the fools that get all of their info from FOX have been brainwashed into thinking he is doing a good job. You know, Elon, Hegseth, little Marco, JD, Pam Bondi(a joke), Cash Paypal, RFK Jr., all of his brilliant picks for cabinet members. Those are the people Trump has taken to the cabinet to lead this country. If you Trumpsters think ANY ONE of them gives a flying fuk about you or this country, you are truly a brainwashed individual. They are there for one reason and one reason only. To stroke Trumps ego. Well Bondi strokes something else, but that is for another day.
Point??? Trump is nothing but a blowhard bully with no real signs of personal success. He is a grifter, a serial cheater at EVERYTHING, and a man who, when left alone in front of a mirror, looks at it and hates what he sees. Only problem is that he has been programmed to never admit a wrongdoing, never to admit he is wrong, and when confronted just attack, attack, attack.
