Arnold, CA…It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Don Fry, a beloved member of the Arnold community and a cherished friend to many. Don was a pillar of local real estate for over 45 years, known for his integrity, generosity, and unwavering commitment to the people he served.
For more than 30 years, Don owned and operated Don Fry Realty in Arnold, helping generations of families find their homes in the mountains he loved so much. He later continued his career with Century 21 and ultimately with RE/MAX Gold, where he remained an active and respected member of the Smith Home Team until his final days.
Beyond his professional achievements, Don had a deep love for life and community. He was a fixture on Monday nights at the bocce ball courts, where he played with joy and camaraderie. He also had a passion for singing, which brought light and laughter to many gatherings over the years.
Don’s commitment to Arnold extended well beyond real estate. He gave generously of his time and talents through his active membership in numerous local organizations, including SIRS (Sons in Retirement), the Lions Club, and many other community groups. He also served on the Board of Realtors for over a dozen years, shaping the local industry and mentoring countless new agents.
Above all, Don was a devoted family man. He leaves behind his loving wife, Beverly Fry, his daughter Kristen Wallace and son Brian Fry, and his beloved four grandchildren, with whom he shared a bond and joy that words can hardly capture. Spending time with his family was one of his greatest joys in life.
As we honor his remarkable life, we invite the community to show their support for Beverly during this difficult time. A GoFundMe page has been created for those who would like to contribute. Donations can also be sent directly to Beverly.

I will miss you my friend. Many good memories. Head up the gentle slope driveway home
He was honest, cheerful, a fine real estate agent, and a friend. I’ll miss him. Eric Jung
My memories of Don are of his most recent years. I met Don about ten years ago through his daughter Kristen. She and I became fast friends shortly after meeting. From the times I met Don, staying at their family home in Arnold or at his grandkids birthdays/ functions, he was warm and talkative, friendly and lively. He was always generous, sharing his home, getting my son his favorite Arnold ribs to eat, and letting us enjoy one of his favorite place, the golf club. Mostly, I will be forever thankful that he and Beverly brought their daughter Kristen into this world, who is a source of companionship, friendship and love for me. Thank you Don.
Tennis, racketball, skiing, water skiing, fishing, camping, and golfing, I am going to miss my friend. Lots of great memories!
Why would a 45 year successful career real estate agent need a go fund me page?
agree
We truly loved him!
He sold us a few homes in Arnold.
Don is a great man! I loved his laugh!
Don Fry dedicated his life to connecting families with mountain homes, a true cornerstone of the Arnold community for decades through Don Fry Realty, Century 21, and RE/MAX Gold. His legacy is etched in the memories of those he helped find their perfect place. Feeling nostalgic? Remember the thrill of connecting with loved ones over games? Why not recreate that feeling with a round of Uno Online
To anonymous…perhaps because he was well loved and kind and it is a nice thing to do. I personally lost my husband and medical bills were over a million dollars. That is after ins. paid. So, I don’t worry about the “whys” I just think about it is a kind gesture to offer help to someone whether it is that they need it or it would make them feel special.
A well liked real estate agent? See what, warm, friendly, honesty and cheerfulness brings. Never met Don, but he is reminding me of my Grandpa who was also a real estate agent.
Condolences to Don’s family and friends.
RIP
