Coeur d’Alene, ID…Kootenai Sheriff Confirms at Least Two Firefighter Fatalities as Shooter Targeted First Responders. At approximately 1:30pm, KCFR responded to a wildfire burning at Canfield Mountain. At approximately 2:00pm shots were fired on Canfield Mountain. Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement responded. An active investigation is happening and suspect is still outstanding. There is still an active fire in the Canfield area.
Please avoid the area and follow all shelter in place notifications that have been sent.
