EPFD & Cal Fire Rescue Injured Fall Victim from Candy Rock

Arnold, CA…EPFD and Cal Fire were dispatched to a female fall victim with a head injury at the Candy Rock Swimming Hole. With the injuries and terrain that the victim was in, units requested Cal Fire’s Helicopter 601, from Columbia. Helicopter 601 with hoisting capabilities was able to lower rescuers to the victim, extract the victim and EPFD’s paramedic from the scene. 601 was then able to rendezvous with EPFD’s Ambulance and PHI Med 4-2 Sonora at Crescent Cove LZ. The victim was then flown to a valley trauma center.
