Make Benson Your Benson Today!

San Andreas, CA…Meet Benson (A059319), an male Doberman Pinscher, about 1 year old and 59 pounds. Benson is a tall, dark, and delightfully goofy young pup with all the potential in the world. His natural ears and big, expressive eyes give him a cartoonish charm that’s impossible to resist. Still very much a puppy, Benson is full of joyful energy and boundless curiosity. He greets life with enthusiasm, whether he’s going for walks, meeting new friends, or eagerly sniffing out all the exciting smells in the world.

Despite his wiggly exuberance, Benson already knows “sit” and takes treats gently. He’s a smart boy who wants to please and will benefit from positive training and consistency as he matures. He’s shown a sweet and affectionate nature, often trying to sneak in hugs and kisses from his human friends. While he may be a little much for small children at this stage, he’s sure to blossom into a wonderful companion for an active household ready to guide him through his teenage-dog phase.

Benson was found wandering with two other dogs in Valley Springs, though he was the only one brought into the shelter. We don’t know what led to his adventure, but we’re sure this gorgeous pup has a bright future ahead. He’s excited to meet other dogs, though his eagerness can be a bit overwhelming for some—others love his happy-go-lucky style right away.
