Mini-Grants Now Available Through First 5 Calaveras & Prevent Child Abuse

San Andreas, CA…First 5 Calaveras and Prevent Child Abuse Calaveras (PCAC) are pleased to announce the availability of $13,000 for community mini-grants. Individuals, public agencies, and private organizations in need of funding to improve the lives of children in Calaveras are encouraged to apply. The application period will end on Friday, September 5, 2025.

The grants will be awarded for short-term community-based projects that must be completed by May 22, 2026. Available grant funding is intended for local libraries (up to $500 each), playgroups for children up to 5 years old (up to $2,000 each), no-cost community events for children (up to $1,000 each), and other community projects supporting children up to 18 years old and their parents/caregivers (up to $1,000 total).
Approved awards will be announced the week of September 29th and will continue to be granted until the budgeted mini-grant funds are depleted.
